Despite the nitpicks of my review, I...Thanks, Nils! Despite the nitpicks of my review, I overall enjoyed IRON MAN 2. It's one of the better Marvel sequels, if not as good as the original.

David, thanks for the heads up, I'll check out the fan fiction. And let us know when Soldier of the Brell is out. THE MIGHTY THOR was never a favorite book of mine, but since seeing a still of the actor in the movie costume, it looks very promising. Of the three remaining films, I'm looking forward to CAPTAIN AMERICA the most. And Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye in AVENGERS will be terrific casting, even if it's a minor role/character.

You know, after IRON MAN 2, they should scale back on the Avengers Initiative stuff and just do the post credits scenes till we get to Avengers. By now, it's like, OK, we get it! Nick Fury is forming the Avengers. I'm hoping this subplot doesn't detract from the main focus of the THOR and CAP flicks. That's my opinion on it. I don't want the Ultimate Marvel universe to overshadow the old-school origin stories that I'm assuming THOR and CAP will feature. Those characters deserve the full spotlights in what will be these characters' first films.

Amazingly, even though I grew up on Marvel, I'm becoming more curious about the DC-based movies - JONAH HEX, GREEN LANTERN, and the eventual BATMAN 3, etc. I think overall the DC movies have been top drawer lately (with the exception of SUPERMAN RETURNS, a total disaster creatively). The Batman movies have been done right, WATCHMEN was better than I thought it would be, JONAH HEX looks very promising.

I'm hoping a GREEN LANTERN sequel or trilogy will expand and rope in Hawkman, Dr. Fate, maybe Adam Strange, expanding into a cosmic series. Guess let's see how good GL # 1 is first, right?Greenblatt the Great!https://www.blogger.com/profile/05833132744552978594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-148500349447339883.post-85451552525976463022010-06-05T18:27:49.299-07:002010-06-05T18:27:49.299-07:00Iron Man 2 was not as good as the first Iron Man m...Iron Man 2 was not as good as the first Iron Man movie.

I still believe though that Marvel is going about things in the right way for its upcoming icon movies.

I can hardly wait to see the Thor movie.

I’ve been a Marvel Thor fan since 1962 and also a long time Marvel fan fiction writer:

If you haven’t already done so check out my Marvel fan fiction.
