Above is the note I received from Marvel Comics writer/creator/legend Stan Lee after the 2007 CAPS (Comic Art Professional Society) Banquet. In the note, he's referring to "Ironic Man," the short spoof below that I did long ago that was included in the program for the Lee tribute. This is why he has always been comics' greatest ambassador...The fact that he took the time to personally thank each attendee with a handwritten note shows what a class act ol' Smilin' Stan is. What a cool little gem! Pretty classy thing to do, you're right. And I was so fortunate to be with at that dinner, too. Stan's acknowledgement to his collaborators and fellow co-creators made for a very memorable evening.
