Hey, gang! I also have written another of my DITKOTOMY columns for DITKOMANIA#80, which appropriately focuses on Steve Ditko's '80s Marvel output. My column this time focuses on Ditko's collaborations with writer Bill Mantlo on such features as Captain Universe, ROM: Spaceknight, Micronauts, and The Incredible Hulk. It's an underrated working relationship that produced what looking back was Ditko's last hurrah as a mainstream comic book artist. Info on ordering it is right here! It's a very thick issue, filled with insightful essays on books such as Captain Marvel, the great short-lived series Machine Man, and The Shroud from that Marvel Premiere magazine. My pal Javier Hernandez illustrated my column with a ROM pin-up. He makes his debut as a writer in DM#81 with a column called DITKO BY DESIGN.

i'm sorry bro but as a Rom spaceknight fan i gotta say the Dikto run on the art in that series was a travesty. back then when i was a kid seeing the art style go from Sal Buscema/Akins & Garvey (inks) to Dikto really bummed me out it almost made me stop picking up the book.
